Oscar Stembridge is an 18-year-old Malmö-based indie artist and multi-instrumentalist known for emotionally direct songwriting and a powerful live band sound. Blending modern indie-pop with guitar-driven alternative, his music is rooted in melody, honesty, and live energy.

Oscar began performing live at a young age and has since built extensive stage experience across Sweden and Europe. Over the past year, he has played shows in cities including Amsterdam, Paris, London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Malmö, performing both solo and with his four-piece band. His live performances are a central part of his identity as an artist, combining tight musicianship with an emotional connection to the audience.

As an independent artist, Oscar is focused on building a long-term body of work rather than chasing trends. His upcoming releases form part of a wider creative vision planned across 2026, expanding both his sound and his live presence. With a growing catalogue and a clear artistic direction, Oscar represents a new generation of Scandinavian indie artists shaped as much by the stage as by the studio.

A BIT MORE HISTORY

Oscar has been performing since a very young age - singing and playing live since he was 6 years old. He began playing piano at 5 years old and quickly progressed to acoustic guitar, bass, and drums.

Oscar first shared his musical talents at the age of 7 online by covering a wide range of styles and artists from rock, pop to reggae. Famous artists began to young Oscar's original covers including Queen, Aerosmith, Camila Cabello, Calum Scott, James TW, Grace Vanderwall and Guns N' Roses whose posts reached millions. He has built up a strong global following over the years and now has more than 350,000 followers on social media.

From street performances, intimate acoustic sets to huge venues with over 60,000 people, Oscar's ability to connect live with his audience stands him out from other artists of his generation.

Now 18, Oscar has played many historic Swedish venues - playing live to over 1.3M people on Scandinavia's biggest music TV show ("Allsång på Skansen"), at the Circus Arena in Stockholm, in front of 60,000 people for the largest climate concert in Sweden, and was the youngest artist ever to grace the Main Stage at the Boardmasters Festival in UK.

In 2020, he played live for Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden for her birthday in front of millions of TV viewers. He toured across Sweden to raise money for the mental health charity "Never Alone" and was Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nominee ("Sweden's Favorite Star"). That same year, he starred in the lead role in Sweden's smash hit kids TV show, "KÄR" with 122 episodes and returned to the TV screen in 2021 starring as Felix in the final series of the popular "Up4Noise".

In 2021/2, Oscar wrote and released his debut EP "THIR13EN" recording all instruments on the EP (except drums). THIR13EN was critically acclaimed. This led to Oscar winning the Rookie Artist of the Year at the Sweden "DennizPop" Awards, selected from a jury of industry experts including legendMax Martin. He is the youngest ever to receive the award. Oscar spent the next two years honing his craft and collaborating with songwriters in studios in the UK, US, Denmark and Sweden whilst performing live at every opportunity. This included appearing on Americas Got Talent playing his own original songs to successfully reach the quarter finals. Simon Cowell described Oscar's performances as "brilliant" and that he was a "diamond" in the music industry. His sophomore EP, How Did We End Up Here? was released in August 2025. Oscar remains an independent artist retaining full control over his sound and journey. He still finds time to do what he loves most - performing live on the streets of his home town, Malmö in Sweden.

Outside of music, Oscar is an official ambassador for UNICEF, Music Declares and TogetherBand.
