ABOUT OSCAR

Oscar is one of the most exciting young talents to emerge from Sweden in years. He is a multi-talented musician playing piano, bass, drums, ukulele and his trademark guitar. Just 15 years old, Oscar has built a dedicated global following of over 250,000 on social media and already performed live at many prestigious events including Climate Live ’21, Victoriadagan for the Swedish Royal Family and at Allsång på Skansen.

Oscar has performed live across Scandinavia, the USA and the UK from small intimate acoustic gigs to events with over 60,000 people. This summer he became the youngest artist ever to perform on the Main Stage at Boardmasters Music Festival in England. He performed his first US gig at the iconic Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta and later returned to the US to collaborate with Grammy award winning producer, Tricky Stewart.

An accomplished singer-songwriter, Oscar’s compelling persona is matched by his ability to pen authentic songs that tackle todays youth issues like climate change, bullying and social alienation. He released his highly acclaimed debut EP “THIR13EN" in 2022 and ended the year winning the prestigious Rookie Artist of the Year at the DennizPop Awards from a jury including Max Martin.

As his following expands globally, Oscar has teamed up with renowned US vocal coach and artist developer, “Mama Jan” Smith (Usher, Justin Bieber) to take his music to the next level. This is just the beginning for Oscar.

Some History

Oscar has been performing since a very young age - singing and playing live since he was 6 years old. He began playing piano at 5 years old and quickly progressed to acoustic guitar, ukulele, and drums.

He has built up a strong global following and now has more than 250,000 followers on social media. Oscar started to share his musical talents at the age of 7 covering a wide range of styles and artists from rock, pop to reggae. Many artists shared young Oscar's original covers including Queen, Aerosmith, Camila Cabello, Calum Scott, James TW, Grace Vanderwall and Guns N' Roses whose post reached millions. In 2017, aged 10, he became the youngest artist ever to sign a record deal with Universal Music in Sweden.

Now 15, Oscar has already played many historic Swedish venues & shows - playing live to over 1.3M people on Scandinavia's biggest music TV show, at the Circus Arena in Stockholm, in front of 60,000 people for the largest climate concert in Sweden, and on the Main Stage at Boardmasters Festival last year.

In 2020, he played live for Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden for her birthday in front of millions of TV viewers. He toured across Sweden to raise money for the mental health charity "Never Alone" and was Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nominee ("Sweden's Favorite Star"). In 2020, he starred in the lead role in Sweden's smash hit kids TV show, "KÄR" with 122 episodes and returned to the TV screen in 2021 starring as Felix in the final series of Up4Noise.

Outside of music, Oscar is a passionate climate change activist and an active supporter of FridaysForFuture playing at many climate strikes in Denmark and Sweden. He is an official ambassador for TogetherBand and SurfersAgainstSewage. He wrote his first song "We March" as a call to action on climate change and played live in front of 60,000 people in Stockholm at the largest public protest march in the country's history. His first single on his debut EP, 'Don't Lie To Me', tackled misinformation and greenwashing with Oscar donating proceeds from the single to the charity ClimateLive.

Having released two songs independently, he signed with Universal Music releasing eight singles including his self-written anti-bullying song "Where Are You Now?" and his first climate activism song "We March". In 2021, Oscar decided to become an independent artist to pursue his own songwriting and immediately started working on his debut EP entitled "THIR13EN". The year long project was released in the summer of 2022 with Oscar writing his own songs with his best friends in music, Kristofer Greczula and Isa Tengblad. Oscar recorded all instruments on the EP (except the drums). He somehow still finds time to do what he loves most - playing live on the streets of his home town, Malmö.

Whatever happens next is going to be epic.....
